OFFICIALLY BECOMES PART OF DRONETECX 2023
ANNUAL EVENT SCHEDULED FOR MAY 2023
In the bid to speed up activities of the emerging drone industry in Africa and promote best practices and the usage of drone for humanity, Drone Technology Conference and Exhibition (DRONETECX) has incorporated award and rewarding system into its annual programme, tagged AFRI DRONE AWARD aka Africa Drone for Humanity Award.
The award will hold as part of DRONTECX 2023 on the 9th May 2023 at NIGAV Expo Center Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos. The award which is organised by the Technical Development Promotion Department (TDPD) of F.C.I International Ltd is supported and endorsed by Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Nigeria Unmanned Systems & Robotics Association (NUSA) and the Federal Ministry of Aviation.
AFRI DRONE AWARD is focused on promoting the use of drone technologies for humanitarian purposes such as to save lives, responding to serious life challenging circumstances, to advance technologies that affect human in a very positive manner. The award will also include the recognition for cutting edge innovations and local content throughout Africa.
Drone technology is becoming a powerful tool to provide humanitarian relief and aid. The use of drones covers search and rescue missions and includes general surveillance, mapping of disaster areas, delivery of aid materials, damage assessments and implementing post-emergency reconstruction projects. The United Nations (UN) Office of Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the UNICEF has started testing the use of drone to respond in various humanitarian situations and Africa is not left out.
